The Waldorf Astoria is fantastic. The outside is enchanting with its French architecture. You are greeted by friendly staff outside to help and it continues on the inside of the hotel. The beautiful decor continues on the inside with its amazing chandelier. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and you definitely feel pampered. This hotel is higher than any rating that I could give it.

Wonderful Location and Amazing staff
The hotel itself is amazing and our room was phenomenal. The bar made the best Old Fashioned I have ever had. We enjoyed the walk down to the loop and just north is a great area where Morton's is and all sorts of restaurants to enjoy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Waldorf Underwhelming
We chose to splurge on a night at the Waldorf for our 15-year anniversary and we loved the balcony corner king room. What we didn’t love was a couple of service issues. I purchased the upgrade with the $75 credit and the two-hour early and late checkout. In the literature it said every room comes with bathrobes, etc. At check in I tried to confirm if we had the two hour late check out and the lady at the desk only gave me one hour later. When we got up to the room, no robes so we had to call and ask for them. At check out, they charged everything automatically to my card and asked me if I wanted the receipt emailed to me or printed, I said email was fine but when I left and got the receipt in my email, it did not show that they applied my $75 credit so I had to go back and ask them to apply it. It’s not great service when you make your customers ask for everything that you’ve already promised to provide. I paid $500 instead of $418 to get those upgraded amenities. And then they didn’t provide them until I asked for them each time. I expected luxury service but instead I felt like a beggar asking for all the stuff I had already purchased. I told them it was our 15-year anniversary and besides a “happy anniversary!” they didn’t offer anything, not even a chocolate or a Waldorf stuffed animal to bring home to our kids...things that I heard from friends that they would generously offer. These are the times when I wonder, would it have been different if we were white?

Expected Much More!
It was very Disappointing from getting a room that wasn’t ready! we entered it not realizing it’s wasn’t clean till after we took our masks off we were in there about 3 minutes with this COVID going on was not good at all. Then got another room on a higher floor which was very cold. I expected more from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel

Poor
I had to wait hours for my room to get ready when I had already made reservations and paid in full for the room. The gentleman outside that's supposed to be helping the guests wouldn't even help unload my vehicle.
