We arrived at the hotel on Wednesday and were immediately impressed. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff—both at the front desk and in housekeeping—were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The security was also excellent, ensuring that only guests with valid passes could enter, which made us feel very safe.Unfortunately, our trip took a turn for the worse on Valentine’s Day when both my husband and I came down with a terrible stomach bug. This was especially difficult for me as I’m 15 weeks pregnant, and I experienced severe nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhea. While my symptoms lasted about 24 hours, my husband was sick for an entire day. We were essentially out of commission for most of our stay, which was supposed to be a seven-day getaway.
As for the activities, the hotel is definitely geared toward kids, which was great. My children (ages 4 and 6) had a fantastic time in the pools and water play areas. However, one of the biggest disappointments was the event schedule. Several events, including Dominican Night, were advertised but then canceled at the last minute.
