Oct 25, 2026I booked a suite for a four-night stay. I didn’t have the room cleaned, as I kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign out. The hotel restaurant is quite affordable and convenient, and there’s no need to leave a tip. It’s also very easy to travel back and forth to Universal Studios.

Universal’s Surfside is always a solid choice for a good price and a great location. The shuttle to the parks is a huge plus, the pool is nice, and having Starbucks right in the lobby is very convenient. My only complaint was check-in. Our room wasn’t ready until well after 4:30 PM, which was frustrating since we had to wait around in the lobby. They could definitely improve on having rooms ready on time. Overall, still a good value and a hotel we would stay at again.
