Good stay with extra fees
We had a nice stay at the Fairfield Inn. The hotel is well located across from the Luquillo beach and 10 min drive to the El Yunque rainforest. Also a short 30 min drive to the Ceiba ferry (for visits to Culebra and Vieques). Room was comfortable for the four of us and breakfast spread was good. They did charge us an extra guest fee for our daughters 13 and 14 ($25 per person per night). Also they have this weird $25 destination fee which gets credited for lunch/drinks at the bar only if used within certain hours. Also they give you quarters for a one time laundry use but you have to purchase the detergent. All in all a nice hotel but the extra fees were excessive.

Pillows were terrible with very little support. Breakfast was fair. Same packaged scrambled eggs that were luke warm. The $25 food credit from bar area was poor. Food choices were weak. The $17 daily parking fee was a joke. Your room key was your parking pass at the gate, but it rarely worked.. Nice grounds but I would not stay again

Nice Hotel bad breakfast
The new hotel is nice and clean. The only thing was the free breakfast. They only offered turkey bacon and turkey sausage. It tasted like cardboard. My advice is to serve regular bacon and turkey sausage one day, and the opposite the next day. So even though they offered free breakfast, we had to go outside to get a good breakfast.

I recommend If you want to get away from the party life of San Juan. Area is quiet and close to Luquillo Kioskos. Beach is right across from this property. You get a gorgeous view of El Yunque from the pool area. I stayed 3 days in San Juan and 2 days here due to my budget. Definitely family friendly. Food is great and there’s a casino next door. There’s no complications with parking. There’s no balcony’s for this property and only goes up to 4 levels. It’s a small clean hotel. Bilingual staff. This is a hotel you won’t get lost in. Free breakfast is pretty good!

I liked the fact that everything was in walking distance. Even though we stayed during a weekend, the ambient was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and come back another time.
