This is a cheaper end hotel in a nice part of London, with good breakfasts. They are trying to use self-use check in machines in the lobby when customers arrive - but that requires information not sent to customers who use hotels.com or expedia. So I would _not_ recommend booking this hotel using those online portals. I could only check in as a staff member came and took pity on me. However, the staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was very nice indeed (for the class of hotel). The room was quiet and an OK size. It was not in the best condition, and a bit more regular maintenance would be wise. But this is not a fancy and expensive place. It is what you pay for. Other than check-in problems, I would stay again.

Premier Inn Aldgate is a really great location, near Brick Lane with its vintage shops and restaurants, to Spitalfields market, and more. The hotel is clean but not sterile, and very quiet. I booked on short notice and got a room with an accessible bathroom, but I can't really rate that of course. I tried the breakfast one morning when I got up early enough and they have both hot and cold items...you pay just 2 euros more for the hot stuff, like fried eggs, beans, sausages and the like.

The Room was clean except for a stray French fry under the side table. I like this premiere so much more than the travel lodge closer to Tower Bridge. No funky odors. No rats. And a clean and functional bathroom. Service was superb. Price was right as well. If I have to be in this area again. I’d stay here.
