"Except for a young lady at the front at time of check in it was 1:50pm and I asked for f we can check in and she said at around 2:20-2:30 and I was fine with that till I saw so many couples checking in and they were never told no. I stayed right in front of her and she never said anything to me till I approached her at 2:30pm and she said I think I can do it now but a young guy jumped in and gave me the room in less that 5 minutes. She was never rude but that is not acceptable if the rooms are available even if I needed to pay extra! She even made my mother wait till then and my mom arrived at 9am but they had rooms available cause the hotel is not even full"

"I enjoyed my time at Doubletree Hotel in Carirari in Costa Rica. The property is really unique and the openness gave the hotel such an great vibe. While the property was a little dated, the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was close enough to take an Uber to downtown San Jose to see some of the sites. The hotel has a shuttle for drop off and pick up at the airport. I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the San Jose area. "

"Very nice, subdued hotel. Nice pool, restaurant, and fantastic breakfast buffet every day.
If you are driving, parking was very
easy.
Side note, be aware that traffic can be really horrendous on the freeways and such."
"We are so glad we chose to stay here the night before flying home. It is located right next to Hertz which was a great coincidence for us to drop off our car and then walk over to the hotel rather than have to take a shuttle and/or figure out a taxi. Add on a nice hot free breakfast! Easy peasy, clean, quiet and safe…loved it!"

With only a few hours to explore, front desk staff helped me with recommendations, which I followed and appreciated! Food was fantastic! Thank you to all the staff! "
"What an amazing property!! This place is beautiful! the service amazing and the people incredible. There is so much to do here! They have several free wonderful tours and activities. Their steakhouse was really the best meal we had in Costa Rica. I adored their manager who gave us the coffee tour. I seriously recommend this place to spend several days at!"
