Lets get the obvious out of the way, the location is fantastic. Moreover, the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the hotel itself is very rundown. Rugs are stained, shades are frayed, grout is moldy, and pillows worn. Breakfast is fuel for the body, don’t expect anything more. If you can overlook all this, then the location makes it worth it.

Hard to find reasonably priced hotel rooms in Manhattan…but of course when you do, expect some limitations. In this case, the room was cramped and beds small and not particularly comfortable. Tiny bathroom. No exterior windows. Small, slow elevator. Worn furniture. Limited plugs. On the other hand, really great location near Central Park, two different subway lines, varied restaurants, many museums. Nice staff, ok breakfast. Water was hot, linens decent. Certainly ok for a day or two given the price!

The hotel is very conveniently located within Terminal 2, which makes it a great option if you have an early flight the following morning. However, it was surprisingly difficult to find, with very little signage or direction within the terminal. Check-in was okay, but unfortunately I was downgraded from the room type I had originally paid for, which was disappointing. Overall, the location is the main advantage of this hotel. It is a practical choice for convenience before an early flight, but the lack of clear directions and the room downgrade affected my experience.

This hotel is perfectly situated next to Central Park and great family friendly eating options. It’s well below the cost of most hotels in area—for a reason. Rooms are small, in need of updating and only one elevator. Still, the staff is super helpful, the location and price are great and if you aren’t in the room much, who cares about the size. We’ve stayed several times with our grandkids. And will go back again.

There was an automatic light switch problem the first night but it was fixed the next day. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Need to tell the front desk each day we want our room made up. The last day it was forgotten but the front desk gave us shower towels and we are satisfied with that. The rooms were tiny but adequate for such an old home. Great location. Breakfast was okay but not as plush as in other hotels we have stayed in.
