I booked this hotel for dates in December '22 instead of November '22 (an honest mistake and not a whimsical change of mind) and notified the hotel WEEKS IN ADVANCE to request either a change of dates or refund, and was denied both. In my request, I explained that I was already back home (that is, not in Japan) and that I would not be able to stay in the hotel in December. It would make MUCH MORE SENSE if my booking was cancelled and the room was made available to another traveller.
Due to a hotel policy, RoNa hotel refused to cancel my booking, refused to change the dates of my stay and refused to provide any sort of refund. The room stayed EMPTY during what must be a very busy period over Xmas, the hotel kept my money and I am out of pocket for a 3 night stay that I did not stay.
I visited Japan for 10 days in November, travelling to 7 different cities. RoNa Hotel has left a very sour taste in my mouth for a holiday which was otherwise excellent due to the hospitality of the Japanese people and their culture.
The next time I travel toTokyo, I will stay clear away from this place.
