Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, but super crowded with no line flow. It was a bit frustrating to get to anything. Most of the staff were polit and friendly.
One staff member, however, was very rude. We were there for a business trip and one of my staff members forgot some jewellery in the room when we checked out. She called immediately and gave them her name, letting them know what time she would be back to pick it up. They said they would set it aside for her.
When she came back with her father, they refused to give it to her, starting that it was because her name wasn't on the room. They told her I had to call, as it was my name on the room. When I called, they told me she could have it, but that she needed to show ID (which she did, but they refused it at the time) and that they would have to enter her information in the system. I told them they could see her ID, but not collect the info, as she is a minor. The gentleman proceeded to argue with me, raising his voice and talking over me. When I told him to stop yelling at me, he got worse. Eventually, after threatening to come back to the hotel (I was already on the road), he said he would look at her ID and then he hung up on me.
Terrible customer service and quite frankly, it was disturbing. Why would a grown man need to know where a minor lives? Why would you argue with a customer over that? Considering Brampton is a human traffiking hub, it makes me wonder what his real intentions were.
