A charming place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. A quiet neighborhood, but close to things to do in Saranac Lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. John went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.

Love it!
Absolutely amazing value for the price! We booked this pretty last minute for a concert in town we were going to and we loved it! Super comfortable and cozy, walking distance to down town, clean, quiet. We loved it so much we booked another stay for the end of October! This will definitely be our go to place to stay anytime we are in the Sarnac Lake area!

Unique and very well maintained
Room had fridge, tv and very comfortable bed. Bathrooms were very clean.Caretaker on site if you need him.Free coffee was nice. Such a beautiful facility and qalking distance from town and major hike. Loved it, cant wait to return.

We spent one night in Saranac Lake, where hotels run from posh resorts, to a little scary looking. This place is fine - nice room and great rec room downstairs. Our caretaker was friendly and helpful. The only downside was we visited during a heat wave and there was no AC in our room, only a fan. I recommend this place for a short stay.

Had a wonderful stay! The host was great—friendly, responsive, and ensured everything was perfect. The place was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. It also handled heavy snow well, making it a safe and comfortable stay even in harsh weather. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Totally what I expected. The property has a great story. Nothing fancy but I did not expect it to be and I did not want it to be. Super clean. Friendly staff. Low price. Felt very comfortable and secure. Will definitely go again and again.

Our stay at Prescott House was a delight. The house is unique, cozy, and welcoming! The onsite manager was friendly and available, and we had everything we needed. The large bathrooms are shared, but the doors can be locked for quick showers, and there are also a few private half-baths (and one private shower) scattered throughout the building. Our room was a little bit musty and had not been updated like some of the other rooms, but it was clean and very affordable and met all our needs. We appreciated the coffee station and porches, the window a/c unit for the hot nights, the opportunity to meet other guests, and the fascinating history of the house. I would be glad to return. Thank you!

It would be helpful to have internet and passwords in the rooms (added to the guests notes sheet?), and listed in the front “coffee” room. Otherwise, quiet and comfortable.
It may be challenging, though, to reach someone if there is a problem.
