Simple, comfortable, helpful staff and good value

I had one of the internal rooms (no windows) which got warm pretty quickly, even in October. When I asked reception if the AC could be turned on, they gave me the remote to work it, no questions. Room was compact but comfortable and pretty clean. Shower was good (plenty of pressure). Simple facilities, but perfectly acceptable at this price. Good local amenities nearby (underground, shops, pubs, takeaways, etc)

Our room for 3 adults was tiny and most of the furnishings were old and tatty, the headboard was completely ripped, 3 tea bags, 3 milk pods and no cups. Air con was £5 if you wanted it, night receptionist gave it us for free which was appreciated. The room served its purpose as we were literally only sleeping in it but I wouldn’t return

The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We cannot say enough good about how wonderful they were. Coming from the U.S., we may have made some assumptions and had unrealistic expectations of a hotel in London. The room was smaller than we are used to. We expected a room with 2 twin beds and a full size bed to have space between each bed; the twin beds were pushed together with only a small space between the full bed and twin. Although there was a cubbie/shelf area with a hanger bar, there was no closet or dresser to unpack into. We assumed that there would be wash cloths in addition to the towels provided. The towels were only changed once in our 6 night stay. Although we did not bring this to the attention of the staff, our daughter slept on top of the covers and used an airplane sleep pillow as the sheets on her bed had a stain on them or were dirty. The website indicated that the hotel has a/c. Upon check-in we were told that there is normally a daily fee for a/c; however, this fee was waived because they were having a heatwave during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located about a 10 minute to the tube station which was necessary as the location was far from London tourist areas.

The bathroom light flickered badly. The bedside light didn't work. There was no shelf or anything by the bed, so nowhere to put phone, glasses etc without getting out of bed. The towel rack in bathroom was so high up, out of reach for me. Only one tea bag and sachet of coffee supplied which felt really mean. Although member of staff did give more when asked. Otherwise room was OK, bathroom fine apart from points mentioned, shower good. The bed had a huge, very hard pillow no use for resting head on, I had to put that on floor and manage without. I booked the room as cheap for London, but it would be outrageously expensive anywhere else, for what it was.

Tiny room, only a couple of inches longer than my arm reach. Barely any room to move. No desk or table to work on. Hair & dirt in the shower basin. Hair & some marks in the bed. Travelers be aware that this is not 3 stars hotel

Worse hotel experience in my life, regardless of my status of a Hotels.com GOLD MEMBER. My family of five was accommodated in a so-called "ground level" room (never disclosed in my hotels.com reservation). It was a BASEMENT, with tiny stairs access (see the pictures) with no ventilation, no window and mold smell presence that my asthmatic son started coughing immediately. The bathroom was outside the room, next to the stairs. The front desk could not change us to a livable room, that didn't represent a health risk issue, so we decided to leave and look for another hotel. After asking for a full refund to Adam, the manager, the response was that it was "disclosed" that our room was "ground level" and it was our option to leave (?!) offering me a 50% reimbursement (?!). The health risk in this place due to mold presence should be reviewed by the London Health Department, to which I will place a complaint. To date, I have not received my refund. Very frustrated to arrive to this hostel-like place and had to spend extra money to find another place to stay in the middle of our first time experience in London. Hotels.com never reached out to me either, regardless my multiple attempts to get help.

Das Zimmer war sauber und die Lage mit 6 Minuten zur Bahn ist duper. Aber ich hatte ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht und hatte ein Fenster zum Öffnen. Vor diesem befand sich allerdings (Abstand ca. 30 cm) befand sich eine Wand, aber ich hatte Tageslicht und Klima. Für 30 Grad in London ideal. Allerdings ist es schon doof, dass es keinen Fahrstuhl gubt. Ich hatte mein Zimmer im 2. Stock 🙈 Aber das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis ist für London unschlagbar 🙌
