I’ve just enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Hampton by Hilton Waterloo as a base for the NFL games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The team there were great - really accommodating of some specific requests to receive a delivery for me in advance of my stay. Easy check in, short lines for breakfast at the busiest times and a fantastic location for getting about London. Walking distance to Waterloo Station (even with luggage), walk to Trafalgar Square and those surrounds. Sadly, nowhere seems to be handy for accessing Spurs! Many thanks to the team at the Hampton by Hilton Waterloo. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel and room were clean. Staff especially those managing the breakfast were very friendly and professional. Beds were not the most comfortable, and rooms for families (2 beds…1 bed and other is pull out couch) are a little tight. If traveling from USA in summer, be prepared that air conditioning isn’t the same as hotels at home, but it is better than going without. Location is excellent with short walk to Waterloo station for transportation, shops, and quick food items. I would stay here again.

We stayed 4 nights prior to getting on our cruise ship. The hotel is located in a nice part of London near the Waterloo train/subway station. Nice neighborhood and good restaurant. The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning was inconsistent. It was unusually warm in London and the room a/c would intermittently shut down.

Our room was clean and tidy on arrival and staff were friendly and polite. We ate in the hotel restaurant before we went out to see a show. However the food wasn’t great and my husband had a rump steak that was only partly edible and the remainder was too tough to eat. A disappointing meal which was quite expensive, with an additional service charge that we refused to pay. When we returned to our room at bedtime, the bed looked comfortable and was ok to sit on. However when we got under the covers, we found the mattress to be very firm indeed and not at all comfortable, so we weren’t able to get much sleep. Again, disappointing for a Hilton hotel, where we are used to better quality beds. Breakfast was ok but extremely busy, even at 8.30/45. The usual food options were good, but, with so many people milling about with hot drinks and plates of food, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but without the above issues we would have enjoyed it a lot more.
