Communal areas are good, along with the pamper room which we made use of! It was good that they offer double rooms for a bit more privacy, but the pillow was like a sheet of paper; quite uncomfortable. There were communal facilities which were good, but the shower was cold. But honestly, for the price and location I would recommend if you’re looking for a bed for the night.

Jake who checked us in was amazing. A real credit to the hostel.
We were sad to learn the bar was closed as we booked this hostel for the bar itself, wish we would've known prior to booking.
The bathrooms were filthy and primark pillows could've been better.
I understand you get this at a hostel though so overall it was a good stay for the price we paid.

Extremely disappointed at the lack of concern other room members have. Coming in at 1.30am and then showering, packing, unpacking plastic bags... floors creak, doors opening and closing are loud... NO-ONE sleeps

I hate staying in hostels but this one does the job for an excelent price.

This is my second hostel stay, and let's say it's pretty underwhelming which I don't mind. I just needed a bed and shower. So what bothered me is during one of the day I stayed there, one wing of the building has no light! (in the morning) So I thought, ok I will just go to the makeup room.. no lights there either! The day I was preparing to leave at maybe 5:30 am, I asked if I can get some hot water from the breakfast setup (which I paid for but it's not breakfast time yet), they said no. It's the policy.. but all I wanted was a cup of hot water because I was really cold.

SoHostel was amazing - between the centralized location and the friendly atmosphere, it was the perfect place for a weekend in London. The bathrooms varied in size, so some were definitely better than others, but they were always very clean. It was also difficult to get in and out of the top bunks gracefully, but the bed was pretty comfortable and the rooms weren’t overly crowded. Underground station just up the road and historical sights and great shopping 5-10 minutes walk max. Fantastic experience and would definitely come back!
