Fabulous location and staff but I chose a larger of the ‘cosy’ rooms - they were way too small. I’m tall but I could barely get round the bed to the bathroom and felt hemmed in. Probably would be fine as a single for 1 night.

Great location for where we were staying, and pretty good value for London. The room was small, but I really liked the decor and vibe of the hotel. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee/biscuits in the room, but there was a cute coffee shop right next door, so it was fine. We were particularly impressed with the lobby and friendly welcome we received from the lady on Reception.

Room and facilities basic but great for one night and great location. Guy at the front desk was a bit odd, we arrived slightly earlier than normal check in time and had enquired whether it was possible to check in early but wasn’t fussed either way and he kind of made out that we were inconveniencing him. Odd customer service behaviour. Wasn’t particularly friendly and spoke very quietly so hard to communicate with.

The room was dirty, and the bathroom had a terrible smell of urine, which seemed to come mainly from the shower. Staff tried to fix it, and it improved for a few hours, but the smell came back. The rooms aren't cleaned during the stay, and there's no desk, so working from the room isn't possible. The elevator also broke down while I was there. The staff were genuinely friendly, and that was the only good thing about this hotel. I paid £300 a night for a hotel worth about £90.

This hotel offers very good value for money, being in a convenient location and a good level of comfort. We just needed somewhere to sleep for a night within walking distance from the barbican and this hotel was ideal. It is also walking distance from Liverpool Street station. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was a buffet style with a decent selection. I appreciated that mugs and take away cups were provided at the coffee machine. We chose the cheapest twin room which was on the basement level with no windows, but this was not a problem and meant there was no noise from traffic or early morning light to wake us up. The room was fairly basic but comfortable.
