Great location for where we were staying, and pretty good value for London. The room was small, but I really liked the decor and vibe of the hotel. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee/biscuits in the room, but there was a cute coffee shop right next door, so it was fine. We were particularly impressed with the lobby and friendly welcome we received from the lady on Reception.

This hotel offers very good value for money, being in a convenient location and a good level of comfort. We just needed somewhere to sleep for a night within walking distance from the barbican and this hotel was ideal. It is also walking distance from Liverpool Street station. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was a buffet style with a decent selection. I appreciated that mugs and take away cups were provided at the coffee machine. We chose the cheapest twin room which was on the basement level with no windows, but this was not a problem and meant there was no noise from traffic or early morning light to wake us up. The room was fairly basic but comfortable.

Didn’t like how awfully small the rooms were but I suppose that’s what happens when you go budget. £3 to hold your bags and you have to go downstairs to the lobby for a communal ironing room. Everything costs money and you cannot borrow an iron to your room, you’re made to iron your clothes in a public space. The beds were not as comfortable but thankfully the space is clean.
