Avoid this horrible place
Checked in and told hadn’t paid. We had. Showed all proof but was basically accused of lying. Finally checked in and the key card didn’t work. Seemed to be a theme as loads of people at the desk with the same issue. Got into the room and it was so filthy and dated we left immediately. Moral of the story is you hey what you pay for! Thankfully we were able to book elsewhere

Budget is definitely the word for it. The staff we spoke to were all fantastic and the location was great for what we wanted, however the room left a lot to be desired. I've seen Amazon boxes thicker than the mattress on the bed and they were probably more comfortable as well. As someone with minor spinal issues the one night there was enough to leave me in a lot of pain for the best part of a week. The shower was adequate as long as you didn't have to turn around at all, and you couldn't swing a cat in the cupboard that the toilet was crammed in too.

Lovely welcome and clean
Welcomed with a warm greeting from the lovely lady who checked us in. Hotel was very clean. The room was ideal for 1 night. Only downside for me was a smell that was coming up through the sink plug hole smelt a bit like the drains which was not great when trying to sleep

Never again.
Room was filthy… cobwebs all over, thick grime in air vents and sticky floor. Key cards only worked sporadically. Very uncomfortable bed, combined with paper thin walls/loud guests meant a dreadful night sleep. Lots of light from corridor coming in from under door. The prison cell vibe was unpleasant but bearable for one night. Even common areas were dirty. Budget should not mean filthy, especially when paying £115 for a tiny room.

Never Again.
Booked this hotel for a night away seeing a band but did not stay the night.
Hotel felt dirty from the moment we walked in. Checked in and heard two other guests complain their key cards didn't work.
Lift was old and dated with peeling posters.
We arrived at our room and had a similar issue to the other guests with the key card. We tried a few times and eventually got in.
The room was very small and too be honest felt very clinical. Toilet waste a small cloakroom which appeared to have an old toilet and used toilet roll.
Shower (separate from the toilet) had a ladies hair on the wall.
Bed was hard and uncomfortable and that was just to sit on.
Temperature control in the room didn't seem to work so had no choice but to be hot.
In all honesty we used the room to change and leave our stuff in. When we returned at around midnight we packed our bags and left for home. Really not a good experience.
Now I am aware that this is a "budget" hotel but I probably would have been better sleeping in my car. I am really surprised at how a brand like Ibis is happy to lend it's name to somewhere like this.
I would definitely avoid.

Our room window whirred in the wind (when shut) which woke us up several times in the night.
Area behind the TV was very dusty and not clean.
Shower drain smelt, and shower wall had unknown hair in.
