Positive; Location, warm room, quite clean. Negative; The lift was broken. So every day we had to go up and down by the stairs. Breakfast, just enough

Breakfast is good and cafe staffs are kindly and helpful. Area outside the hotel is clean and safe. Really convenience near Tube and bus stop. But the room interior facilities is old and broke.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Room was a bit too hot, however it's an old building and it is summer so perhaps understandable. Slept well otherwise.

A pleasant mid-price hotel in Bayswater. The only real problem we had was that the coffee machine didn't work. The staff were very helpful but couldn't solve the issue. The boss had a fiddle with it next day and got it to function again (although he implied it was our fault!) Otherwise, a good stay. Room clean and warm, staff friendly and helpful, plenty of hot water in the shower, breakfast fairly plain and simple but enough of it. Not too far from the Tube (Paddington or Lancaster Gate) Close to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. The Indian restaurant directly over the road (Flavours of India) is a place we can recommend for an evening meal. Very good food, reasonable prices and welcoming atmosphere.

The room was comfortable and it was within easy distance to a tube station. The mattress was a bit hard, but the room was otherwise comfortable

Property was fantastic for a stay after flight from Australia. Water pressure in shower was not great but on 4th floor and in London so we were doing well having water! No power point in bathroom for hair dryer/ styling and mirror in bedroom too far away from plug to dry in view of mirror. Other bathroom han is hat seriously comfy bed and lovely staff and continental breakfast.

The room was small but comfortable, and cleaned to a high standard every day. Towels were unnecessarily replaced daily.

4/10 Fair

The overall stay is good if all you want is a hard bed and an ensuite bathroom. By all means, a good place to stay if that’s all you need. I do feel the need to mention the bedsheets and pillows smelled of body odour the whole time we were there despite asking them to change them multiple times. The breakfast is small and crowded, with no warm food (as advertised). It’s not a spectacular stay, but there are things that are inconvenient that makes staying here a little annoying. For example, no visible napkins in the breakfast room, or smelly sheets, or a safe where only the number 9 works, or pipes that go off at 2am, or banging on the walls at 5am, or no face cloths, or no pens to write letters with. The staff were very helpful when they were there, check in was quick, checkout with luggage storage was quick and easy, but the little things really do make this a mediocre place to stay, if that’s what you want.

The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. The bathroom light was on a sensor. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom was transparent. The light kept on going on and off all night even though we were in bed. It had a mind of its own. It would light up the bedroom like it was daytime. Very annoying. Front desk said they were working on getting it fixed. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel.

Location brilliant! Everything else questionable

Location is excellent, close to Paddington and Hyde park. That I can’t fault. Rooms however are very small and stuffy with very small beds. My partner and I had a basement room and the window opened fully though it did little to help. An overpowering bleach smell in the room suggestive of thorough cleaning but the bed was still grubby. Rooms are not sound proof and we were disturbed multiple times in the night. Staff let us drop out bag off in the morning before check in but check out took a little longer than necessary as the man on check in desk was outside having a cigarette and not watching to see if guests were waiting. Did not have breakfast as gluten free options were not clear and there were loads of options close by. Is this hotel worth the price? Probably not, pay and extra £10-20 and stay somewhere else.

The lift doesn't work while we have been put on the 5th floor and informed after the check-in. Other than that, it worths the price with the excellent location and pleasant breakfast.
