2/10 Poor

Terrible, Painfully Uncomfortable Hotel
--Mattress like sleeping on a rock that's covered with a couple of thin blankets;
--Instead of a box spring or a platform like every other mattress I've ever seen or laid upon, the mattress is supported by bizarre structure made of what appear to be plumbing pipes;
--Rather than cotton sheets like at every other Comfort Inn of the dozens in which I've stayed, the one in Surrey uses polyester sheets and a polyester coverlet over the thin, compressed duvet;
--Although I set the Climate Control on FAN, HIGH, CONSTANT, OUTSIDE (which I interpreted as meaning that the air would be drawn in from outside) and the temperature outside was cold enough to be comfortable wearing a turtleneck, wool sweater, & winter coat, for some reason HEAT would automatically turn on in the middle of the night and warm the room to at least 75 degrees fahrenheit/23.889 Celsius, if not higher, which meant I would awaken in a full sweat and have great difficulty returning to sleep;
--Unlike every other Choice hotel I've stayed in, the one in Surrey refused to give me a Late Check-Out, although I had stayed for 5 nights. The clerk informed me that I would be charged an hourly fee for each of the 1st 3 hours and then charged a full night's rate for any additional time after that.
