We arrived late to the property. Part of the parkimg lot lights were not working, we parked as close to an area with lights as possible. Our vehicle, along with two others were broken into. Front office gal was worried about her own vehicle being broken into (which is understandable)and checked it. However, we were not informed about the breakin, we walked downstairs to a broken window and discovered multiple items missing. Funny enough parking lot ights were functional around 4 am when we woke up to use restroom. While spraking with an employee about what was taken, we were reminded that Hampton Inn accepts no responsibilty and that we park in their lot at our own risk. While waiting for the police to come I requested a later check-out to which I was informed the latest they could do was 2 pm. At that point in time we still didn't know if we could get car fixed or not. Our family has stayed in Hamptons for a long time without any issue, this was truly unfortunate and a difficult moment for us. I wish that the manager would have been more compassionate with our plight and check out time, rather than being concerned with the next round of guests coming through. The most helpful individual was one of the cooks, who spoke with the police to help us file a report. Officer was very kind as well. Customer service is very important, especially during a time when an incident like this occurs. Don't know that we will trust this company again.
