2/10 Poor

First of all this is not a luxury apartment. The walls were dirty. Needs a repaint in the bathroom. Bed uncomfy and pillows flat. There is also a deposit required which is unnecessary given the state of the apartment. After we left, the host messaged to say we wouldn’t get the full refund back as the door was unlocked, despite the fact you require a fob to enter the building. They also then suggested items were missing from the apartment such as a chopping board and remote. I told them we had not used the chopping board so then they said the remote was missing. I said this had been left in front of the TV and I had pictures. They still said we had lost it and they refused to give the full deposit back. It’s clearly a scam, do your research carefully. It’s basic student accommodation at best!

This property deceived me like a fraud! I'm a international traveller and I only have credit card. Just 5 minutes later after I booked the apartment with a 100USD payment, the property asked me to transfer the deposit via bank account with a debit card, or they won't send me the instruction to enter the property. I tried to talk this over, but got denied. The funny thing was no such information on only accept debit card for deposit showed on their home page, while they even posted they accept credit card and debit card. The property kept asking me to cancel it so that they can confiscate my payment due to their cancellation policy. So I didn't enter the property eventually and got robbed by the host.

This unfortunately is not a luxury apartment at all. Whilst it is spacious the apartment needs a much needed makeover, walls are all marked, damp patches in bathroom with plaster coming off the walls. Basic furniture throughout, just a double bed in bedroom that could take a larger bed it could also benefit from a tv and side lamps and perhaps a dressing table. Bathroom with no bin, toilet roll or towel holder, leaking shower hose and dirty in places, especially the damp on the walls. Broken lid on toilet and only one side of flush working. Lounge with just a sofa and tv that we struggled to work as remote had been broken, couldn’t touch lounge curtains for some reason, no side tables. Kitchen undersink leaking as middle sink drainer not connected, dirty oven gloves, only 1 wine glass and old cutlery and bare minimum plates and bowls. Cooking equipment that had seen better days. Freezer not even on. Missing smoke detector in hallway. The apartment could be so much better with some TLC. Deposit was paid and returned quickly but based on the state of the apartment we felt completely unnecessary and excessive at £350, it also had to be paid via bank transfer. Location was good for us visiting utilita areana but this apartment didn’t provide the chilled and inviting luxury apartment we thought we would find. We don’t feel like we got value for money, it is listed as a ‘Luxury’ apartment and this was not what we got so very disappointed for the money we paid.
