A great place to stay if you know people in the East Village, as I do. It was unbelievably close to their place, and reasonably priced for New York. Quite clean and the bed was super comfortable. There was some street noise, but that’s to be expected for the neighborhood; and it really didn’t disturb my sleep. My friends told me that it would be noisier on weekends (my stay was midweek), and the hotel thoughtfully provides ear plugs. The kitchenette is a nice perk were I to stay longer.

The location and accommodations were really pretty good overall. The lack of an onsite reception was a bit odd, especially when we couldn’t access our room upon arrival with the code. Upon calling the number, we were told our room was switched last minute. However, when we got into the room, it already had an occupant. They sent their cleaning staff to move things over, but it feels like a big oversight. Otherwise, the place is perfectly barebones and acceptable for anyone not looking to stay somewhere over the top and in a budget.

The rooms are very clean and the Housekeeping is very good. The hotel itself is quiet, but there are lots of state noises to be expected from being in New York City. This was my second stay there and both of them have been excellent

GREAT location but be aware the room is super small… good for 1 person barely for 2. Our refrigerator did not work, the fan in the bathroom did not work, one of the LED lights strobe from time to time, and one of the two window shades was broken and could not roll up. They offered to send someone to fix the refrigerator, however since we were only there for 2 1/2 days, I did not feel it was fair that we needed to take time out of our vacation for them to fix the fridge as I did not want people in the room without me being present. We did not cook, therefore do not have a comment on those amenities. The front door is supposed to have a code to go in however, during our stay, it never completely locked because people did not close the door all the way. So we never needed the code to get in. It looks closed, but if you do not pull it an extra millimeter, it will not lock and therefore does not have a secure entrance as indicated. The bed was reasonably comfortable the sheets and comforter was nice. Decent size Personally, for the money, I would never stay there again.

This was a gem of a find for the price paid for the room. Similar rooms were going for three times more. The room was clean, in a GREAT location, had a kitchen to make breakfast at, and most of all the property managers were helpful and very accommodating to get me into the room quickly and with no hassle, on a booking day almost everything in the city was sold out. Thank you for the great stay!

It was good to find a well located hotel during a busy & expensive time of year. One guest would mark it negatively, reporting their side of the bed badly broken, tilting them to the floor all night, and with very little water pressure in the shower. The other guest, a former NYer, was happier with the hotel.
