Meh
Its a hotel converted by shipping containers. The rooms are enough, no ac and if you want cooler you have to open the window but then you have to deal with traffic noises. Not all outlets work. They also provide a Alaska resident rate but you need to call them and make the reservation over the phone. I bring my boys here to fish so it fits our needs and will stay here again.

Small clean room, good parking, staff was helpful when we asked for something to be fixed in the room. Overall stay was good.

Older hotel, needs updating. But it is a basic lodge. Heating in the room was not controllable, so it was on the cold side. But, breakfast was good witha lot of basic options.

Valdez fishing trip
It was a good stay. The bed was nice and firm and the shower had amazing pressure. The continental breakfast wasn’t bad at all. You can tell it’s an older building but it’s kept up nicely. The walls are very thin though so you can hear everything going on around you. Plenty of parking and walking distance to some good food trucks and a great pizza place.
Take time to walk to docs

2/10 Poor

Not worth the money!
I would not recommend this hotel. Paint was peeling on the bathroom walls. Shower faucet was pretty much broken. Either cold or scalding. They said coffee, tea, hot cocoa & spiced cider. Unfortunately no coffee and no hot water to make the other beverages. At the price we paid was not worth it. Should be a budget hotel at $39.95

I read about this hotel so I wasn’t surprised with any of it. The room was clean, it was close to the ferry terminal, and it was a place to sleep for the night. It is noisy (thin walls; bring ear plugs) & room is small but again, I knew all this beforehand. If you’re expecting a 5-star hotel, this is not the place for you, but it’s a clean place for the price.

The place is old and the rooms were small but clean. Had a nice breakfast area and adequate food. Good overhang to park the bikes. Easy walkable to a very good restraunt next door. The brewery is a couple of blocks away. Would stay here again.

4/10 Fair

Room I reserved was unavailable. Light over bed didn’t work. Carped very old and literally sticky. Bathroom floor floods with water when you take a shower. Paper -thin walls so I could hear literally every word of my neighbor’s normal-tone conversations. No USB chargers or mini-fridge in a $180/night room is ridiculous. Old-school metal key! I should have saved the money and slept in my car. Or just not have slept at all.

You can hear everything through the walls. Hair in bed and on 4 pillow cases. Tv didn’t work. They did have shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a hair dryer.

The hotel is basic but clean. The ventilation systems to transmit more noise from adjacent rooms.

2/10 Poor

Hotel? Motel, of the Worst Kind.
Keystone Hotel should be shut down by building code and health department. The place is skanky, pipes go through the room, outlets have missing covers and behind furniture or bed. The window was open on my arrival, the heat is central, loudly blowing 24/7. The heat is too high, hence the open window? When the system "kicks on" the entire room vibrates like the spinning cycle of an old washing machine that lasts 3+ minutes. This happens often. The eating area is filthy. The table I sat at had something dried across it. I moved to another, less dirty and wipeable. Everything on the counter needs to be removed so the counter can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. I brought down the basket with tea bags to the reception desk, trying to be descrete, pointed and said, "You need to look inside." I did that twice. THERE WERE THREE DEAD MAGGOTS INSIDE! They had been there awhile. The "queen" bed is two twin mattresses side by side. The best thing is the newer washer and dryer.
