we where sent a place at 175 king cross rd not the place on photo 1. for 5 people only 1 cup 2. the T.V did not work 3 someone frozen food was still left in fridge 4. the curtains where a meter to long 5 no hot water for showers till after 5 pm

Good, clean and excellent location.

Not what we were expecting for the price we paid. It was large room and had an extra bed which worked out great for the kids ( who didn't want to share ). Not far from the station which was one of the main reason as well as price for choosing in the first place. Really good selection of local shops and takeaways. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall was pleasantly surprised and happy with the experience. Of course it could have been better, but can't everything. We all had comfy beds and slept really well. Was warm but not to hot in the rooms. Most importantly was we felt we got good value for the money we paid. If we had paid more then this review could have been more negative but I am keeping it honest and realistic.

Not good

I was booked on this guest house. I tried to call the manager to let know I will be checking late. I called them, when I arrive in London 15 times, no answer. After trying to phone them he pick up the phone. He told me to pick up the key to his friend house. It cost me £150.00 just to go to the place. When I saw the Guy, he tried to ask me and my company to stay in that place. That place is a run down accomodation. I told the other Guy, this is not the place I booked. The taxi driver help us to fine a accomodation at 2:30 AM. Please don't book to this place.

Terrible Guesthouse . Never ever stay there !

Attention ! This Guesthouse and owner are highly questionable . Places are extremely dirty , smelly zero ! repeat zero standard ! Any hostel is looking better and compare is as Palace ! Staff are NOT speaking English try to tell me that my reserved place is something wrong ! Police was during that night over the action they moved me to the different address . When I was waiting, family with two kids told me please please don't stay here . I called owner he sent me to different address other place . Even worse . Dirty , dirty place someone slept in my bed nothing was changed or cleaned . Horrible smell . Everything in that place was collected from the donations ( furniture and similar ) . This is a scam and scandal . Health inspector should close that place immediately ! My background is hospitality and hotel training . This is not imaginable place ! You looks like homeless person and is really not far from reality . Never ever stay in this place . Pests over the beds during the night ! Horrible London experience because of that place. Avoid to stay there !

will never go back there ...

it eas horrible... no comunication what so ever...panic when realised that there is no desck at the place..could have saved my stress by telling me there is a safe key at the main door..anyhow.horrible.. bags of dirty laundry in the mail hallway.shower blocked (sent a text never had a replay from the personal .. answer their phones even harder than you think),workers on the property starting at 7.30 scrape walls and drill ..no need for alarm to wake us up..no wifi ...asked for password.. again and again and no luck in the end we gave up...overall HORRIBLE!!!

We dident get to stay in the place advertised, it was in a totally different suburb. It was cleaned well & the beds were fresh but the Biulding was old and grotty. It was on the top floor with the stairwell bloked with laundry bags. The smoke alarm was broke & hanging from the ceiling. It served a purpose but that's it.

Not really worth the money

No staff on arrival, no Tv in room so 3 children to occupy, no condiments i.e. Tea bags/sugar but kettle provided. Lots of shouting through the early hours, key didn't fit the front door therefore we had to call staff to let us in (they was rude about doing so) stood on the doorstep with 3 children until someone came to open door. Area not very nice

Would not stay at this venue again

The owner was rude and did not have any contact or very little with us around our stay. The owner made no visible contact with us. The room was cramped although very clean and warm. The decoration was good. The house was very noisy and there were loud noises and banging from the room above. The owner did not tell us about parking got a ticket the first night. We were next door or a building site which started work at 7am. Overall we did not spend much time in the room but would never stay her again. The description did not fit what we asked for.

Location not convenient, far from station.

I am very disappointed with the guesthouse. When I arrived at London Heathrow airport at about 6.00pm I made several calls but no one answered. As indicated in my earlier email, I arrived at the guesthouse after 7pm. It was not easy to locate the guesthouse. No one at the guesthouse to pass the key to us. When I called, the number, a man answered and mentioned to come to meet us. He however didn't come instead sending a message asking us to find other places to sleep. After I begged for his consideration as I have a 2 year old baby in our group, he send a message saying there is only one room available for us. We have paid for two rooms but only given one room. The room is too cramped for 10 people. It is very uncomfortable. Just imagine such small room with only 3 beds for 10 people with a 2 year olds baby. What was showed in the Webb is totally different to what is given to us. The man didn't meet us the next day. Some of us not feeling well because of the situation and we have to move out looking for other place to stay. I believe I am entitled for a refund. I am very disappointed.

Nice room, slightly shoddy service

We were told to go to one address but when arrived told to go to another. 5 minutes later we had a a call saying to wait at the first address and someone would let us in. This took over 40 minutes. The room was spacious and clean but basic, really could use a kettle as a minimum! Bathroom was a bit grubby but that was probably due to our fellow guests. Shower door looked too rickety to use so didn't bother. Room was warm all night and quiet aside from bin men first thing in the morning. The lights tripped on our last night but were sorted after a couple of hours once the landlord turned up.

Do not stay - hotels.com need to strike off list

Poor checkin, I was asked to wait an hour outside whilst someone came with key, guest house staff do not answer phones, ensuite gives out boiling hot water, so could not be used. Other guest occupied my room on arrival, room not cleaned, excuses made about boiler. I had a very bad experience.
