Nightlife in Daegu consists of music halls and opera houses hosting concerts year-round, to cool nightclubs that stay open until morning.  While there’s no particular dress code to follow while visiting clubs or bars here, Koreans usually love to dress up for these places.

Some of the best areas for night-time entertainment in Daegu include Yasi-golmok, Rodeo Street, and the Kyungpook University district. You’ll often see a long line outside popular clubs, but many are spacious enough to accommodate a huge crowd partygoers. Whether you’re a fan of classical performances or contemporary dance tunes, the best nightlife in Daegu caters to just about any preference.

Daegu's Ap Mountain is relatively low and easy to climb slowly, but if you want to enjoy the night-time views, take a ride on the cable cars. When you climb the observatory, you can see the Daegu basin in all its glory.

When the sun sets, the ridgeline disappears and only downtown Daegu shines brightly, giving you a unique view. It becomes more beautiful as the night grows darker, so it’s better to go up after sundown rather than waiting for the sun to go down.

Location: Daedeoksa Temple, 574-116 Apsansunhwan-ro, Nam-gu, Daegu, South Korea

Open: Cable car operates Monday–Thursday from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm and Friday–Sunday from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm
