It is a good location if you want to visit both Gwangalli beach and the Waterside Park. However, it is located on the far edge of the beach closer to the Millac region. So you'll have quite a walk to visit the Geumnyeonsan side of the beach. It is also quite a distance from the Gwangan station: 20 mins if you cut through the neighborhood, 30 mins if you take the big roads. They do offer parking, so probably geared more for Korean visitors with cars.
The staff is by far the most friendliest I've met in Korea. They were extremely helpful and courteous. The property looks new and clean. My room is a mix. The furniture and floor looks brand new. However, the walls have some minor damages and cracks. For some reason the housekeeping didn't clean my room one of the days. It's not a big deal, but I walked around a lot and didn't get a bottled water that day. Also, a bit strange b/c I was staying 4 nights, they didn't anticipate I needed more toothpaste. However, more were given when I asked.
The room is smaller than I had thought and I was surprised there are no dressers or nooks to put my bags and clothes, which makes me wonder if they are more for short term guests. The bed is super comfy and clean, the TV and wifi is great, the AC is awesome and the air purifier was an unexpected bonus.
The only thing that bothered me was their no refund policy on changes and cancellation. So be warned, once you click that confirmation button, you're committed.
