The rooms were nice and comfortable, just slightly darker than I would have preferred. The staff were excellent—very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. I arrived around 30 minutes before the end of breakfast, however the hotel had already run out of bacon and only brown bread was available, which was disappointing. The grounds could also do with some tidying. On a positive note, the room itself was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the view from the window overlooked what appeared to be a dumping area with broken fencing and a dilapidated caravan, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. With some attention to breakfast availability and the external areas, this could be a really good hotel.
