Short stay only but amazing location
Hard to find and there were no signs to help us, only a small buzzer on the side of the double brown, wooden doors. We went up the street twice before some construction workers helped us find it. After we buzzed the hotel they said to come to the second floor, yet when we went up the stairs to the 2nd floor, we found out it was actually the 3rd floor they were on, as they were counting the bottom floor as the main floor not the 1st floor. There is a very small and very old lift but we didn't chance using it, so we hauled our cases up the stairs as there was no one there to help bring them up. They were very nice in reception, when we finally found the hotel front desk and the room was quite small but clean. We discovered the bathroom was in the hallway and not in the room as requested, yet we were the only guests using it. It is old but appeared clean and there was no fresh soap in the shower but as it turned out it was not a problem because there was no hot water to shower. Reception was only there from 9 until 2 so we couldn't let them know. The room wasn't cleaned the next day but we did have hot water for a shower our last day. We only stayed 2 days, which was plenty of time there but the location in Rome is superb. If you are only staying a couple of days and are in the room to sleep only, its a good bang for your buck. They were very nice and kept our cases until we were ready to leave.

Fair 4.0
If you are in Rome to visit mainly around the Vatican, the location is great. Apart from that, not much else is. Not clean or cleaned during the stay, no wifi in rooms and walls are paper thin so hope for respectful neighbors... which we didn’t have. All in all, you can find better.

Disappointed! Would not recommend
I was extremely disappointed. The pictures on their website is not what the rooms actually look like. Our room was very small, the bathroom was not clean, it was actually quite dirty, the sink in the bathroom is so tiny that you have to balance your face in the middle so water doesn’t spill. No soap is provided, there was a used bottle of some type of soap that someone must of left behind, we bought our own. The first day there we couldn’t shower, there was no hot water, we were told the boiler has a problem and tends to act up at this time of the year. Housekeeping is not daily, no change of towels until you leave. The reception is covered only for some ours. After that, you’re on your own. The best thing about this hotel is the location and Flavia the receptionist, who also acts as the housekeeper. She was very helpful and when we had no hot water, with no guarantees of getting it during our stay, she offered to help us find another place and refund our money. Luckily she was able to unblock the boiler, but it worked off and on. This place needs a major renovation since it’s located in a very old building, the entrance is hard to find since it has no signage downstairs. If Flavia has left for the day, your keys are left at a restaurant on the corner. They need better housekeeping . We were very disappointed, would never stay there again.

Family stay
We stayed in the family room with a view of the Castel Sant'Angelo. The room was great, lots of space and lovely and clean. The location is fantastic.

Poor 2.0
Sleep deprivation chambers
Paid for a room with AC and received one without AC for the first night. Slept with the windows open, however might have been better off on the pavement somewhere considering the road noise. No contactable person on site/by phone for the property. Was moved to an airconditioned room on the 2nd night and 20 Euro as partial "refund" for the first night received. The AC system in the 2nd room was more noisy than the road noise on the first night. I imagined the AC unit sounded like a doberman-sized cricket being swung around by its hind legs.... 2 nights, no sleep. The impact of 2 nights without sleep on a 10 day vacation is definitely far greater than the apology received. The location is central between the main spots and is probably the only +point here.

Pleasant stay in good location
Good location for exploring Rome, nice communal space and complimentary drinks and snacks. Shower bit tired looking and weak pressure but adequate for a few days. Unfortunately no housekeeping until fourth day of stay. Good communication for collecting keys when we arrived after Reception was closed. Apartment felt safe and overall we enjoyed our stay
