Clean stay in Rome
This place was well located and very clean....which was a treat to other places we stayed on this trip. No sign of bugs at all. The location was ideal as it was close to everything. The lady running the place was strict about her rules but otherwise very nice. The only complaint is that I wish the mattresses could be a little plusher (personal preference). We forgot to go get our free coffee and croissant in the mornings so don’t know how that was. Otherwise, all good.

Perfect Location
This property is 4 minutes walk from Termini railway station. It is on a quiet side street opposite what, I'm guessing, could be an official ministerial building. There are two main exits at Roma Termini, so be sure to take the "Via Marsala/Castro Pretorio" exit and go right, until you see a Japanese restaurant to your left, on the opposite side of the road. Cross over the road and take the first turning to your left. This is Via del Castro Pretorio. There is no sign outside the building so it is necessary to look for house number (No.28), and then select the "Affitacamere Tagliaferri Lucia" option on the intercom. The rooms are on the 3rd floor of this apartment building but there's a lift, so no problem if you have luggage. The landlady will greet you, show you to your room and give you a set of keys to come and go as you wish. My room was spotlessly clean with beautifully laundered bed linen. The tea/coffee-making facilities was much appreciated. Because of its favourable position, it's easy to access famous sites, some on foot, others by public transport. The position is also convenient for both Fiumicino and Ciampino airport buses that leave from Termini station. Breakfast of fruit juice, coffee/tea and croissant, is served in a nearby cafè. The landlady will give you a voucher, which is included in the room rate. This too was a pleasant experience because there are outside tables so you can enjoy breakfast "al fresco". All in all, great value and highly recommendable.

Return stay at Lucia’s Rome.
I returned to this location a second time because it served my need- a quick clean, inexpensive place to stay. I oils stay here again. The owner, a sweet elderly lady Lucia, made me feel comfortable and was helpful especially if I needed my luggage to outstay check out time. It was 2 min walk to the station Rome termini where I was leaving from. Part of the walk is on a main but dark street. Best to call to confirm arrival time.

A Disturbing Stay
The hotel was located on the 4th floor of a big building. It was hard to find. The female host could not speak English. I expected to pay the hotel with a credit card because that was what the representative told me. However, upon making a payment, the host would not accept credit card but cash only. The room that was provided for us was not what we expected. There was no TV but there was WiFi. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom. Although breakfast was supposed to be served, the host did not even offer it and told us "to get out" at 10AM the following morning. We left the hotel early morning for a stroll but when we came back (which was not yet the check out time), our bags were already placed outside the room. We did not like it that the host entered our room before check out time and touched our things. It was very hard to communicate. We do not recommend this place.

Convenient place to stay
Our room was very nice. The location was about two blocks from the Rome Termini train station and the neighborhood was a good combination of restaurants and stores. The hotel is on the third (3) floor and the elevator is very small. I only saw one person tending to the hotel her name is Lucia and she was very helpful. I did not like the strict rules that do not allow someone renting a hotel room to have a guest visit or you get charged extra.

Accomodation was just about adequate. Breakfast at local café nearby was basic.
