At San Elijo State Beach, there are many activities for visitors to experience such as fishing, surfing, beach volleyball, and other games. The waves are always perfect for surfing competitions where participants are given the opportunity to win prizes.

Good to know when visiting San Elijo State Beach
In addition to offering beach and water activities, San Elijo State Beach has a large campground that's open year-round with 156 campsites. There's also a day-use parking area. While San Elijo is great for surfing, swimming can be dangerous due to the strong rip currents.
Most of the sites at the beach campground are limited to RVs and caravan parking. A maximum of 8 kids are allowed per campsite. There are also picnic tables, fire rings, bathrooms, flush toilets, and a dump site. Pets are allowed but must be kept under strict control.
