The state of Colorado is best known for the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains. It contains the highest concentration of peaks that are above 14,000 ft, which eventually flatten out into the Great Plains. It makes for a landscape that’s as exciting in summer for hiking and cycling as it is for skiing and snowboarding in winter.
