Very average conditions, except the newly renovated bathroom, which was great! Otherwise, the old furniture and dark look of the room with old carpeting made this a rather unpleasant environment.

AC didn’t work on a hot day, but the staff responded by sending in a mobile AC and it worked. Clean and comfortable otherwise.

A nice hotel with really griendly staff. The staff was also very helpful with an unusual request. We would definitely stay here again.

Initially, my room had an issue with the motion sensors controlling the bathroom and hall lights, but maintenance swapped them out for regular light switches. I would have given the hotel 5 stars except for the fact that the gym and various other areas of the hotel are still under construction.

Mostly good by my sisters room didn’t have AC and it was HOT. They couldn’t do anything about it no fan or portable unit until the next day and wouldn’t refund money to try to switch hotels. Was a bummer but my hotel room was fine.

No A/C avoid. This hotel has issues with A/C I had previously stayed before a couple months ago, as I complaint about A/C during check out they told me something along the lines that it has not been turned on for the season. Well, now it is June, staying again and biggest give away is I go into the room to find balcony door open, sure enough A/C fan is running but no cold air coming out. As soon as temperature gets in the 80s not sure how they can operate. Also cleanliness, there were big stains in upholstery

We booked a Queen Room with a Balcony but they gave us just a Queen room initially. Once we brought it to their attention they gave us the right room immediately stating that the system changed our room type for whatever reason. The view from the room was awesome, hard to beat honestly. You could tell the room wasn’t deep cleaned because there was a vitamin/pill in the closet and the radio was thrown into a corner by the bed. However, the bathroom and bed was clean which is what mattered to us. The tv didn’t work and you could really hear this one outside bar until late in the night (past midnight). Overall we would stay again if they don’t raise the price, we think we got a lower rate because of the grand opening.

Booked this hotel for a long weekend stay for an event nearby. We arrived in at 2:30pm and our room wasn't ready, and neither were many others. Guessing the hold up was that our room was a double queen and they quite literally had to put a bed in the room. We didn't get keys til almost 3:30pm, but everything else went smoothly. Pros: within 4 blocks of Starbucks, Dunkin, and the Subway (7, N, F, if memory serves.) There's also a restaurant on site that's rated pretty well, but seemed pricey for the food. Quiet hotel, simple and pretty decor, elevators work, and parking was available on site. Bathrooms and floors were immaculate in our room. Was high enough that local street noise didn't wake us. Cheapest room rate we could find that wasn't a Super 8 or equivalent and was well worth it. Cons: the second queen bed was like sleeping on a stone - truly awful, the AC unit was a tube stuck into a wide open window behind curtains that let all the heat in anyway. (Had to finagle this so that the curtains tucked into the window because otherwise there was no chance the temp in the room would be manageable.) Would book this place again, but only if I could guarantee a room that has a 2nd bed not made of stone. Location was really great - lots around to get what you need. For the price, was perfectly worth the mild frustrations.

Based on signage in and around the property, the Hotel was supposedly in a "grand reopening". It did appear clean, and staff was okay, but not overly organized. I purchased the onsite parking and was told that I could go in and out as needed. Upon returning to the hotel from the event we attended, there were no parking spaces available. I explained to the front desk clerk that I had already paid for parking, she told me that unfortunately (for me anyway) that there was nothing she could do. I was very disappointed in the reply a asked where was I going to park? She then began to cry, who was a shock to me (this is NYC after all). I felt awful, but I wasn't yelling or causing a scene of any sort. That was the parking. When we left the hotel for the evening, I set the room AC to 70 degrees. The outside temperature was in the 90s and humid. When we returned, the room was 77 degrees. It was 78 when we woke up. Upon checking out, the clerk had little to say, but "sorry, we've been having some issues with the air conditioning, especially on the upper floors". We were on floor 12. If not for these two issues, I would've given a 4.5 rating. There was no adjustment or discount offered.

It’s a shame I have to rate this place so low because it is actually a nice new building with a very spacious room and bathroom for NYC. But their AC is just crap and I think they know it. It’s kind of a fraud to list AC as an amenity and not provide it. When I arrived in the room the AC was set to 60 and blasting but the room was showing 80 degrees on the thermostat. I called the front desk and the agent gave an almost gaslighting drone reply of “you can set it to whatever you want”. I gave him the benefit of a doubt but after twenty minutes the temp hadn’t changed so opened the window and the door which cooled it down to 78. The AC was noisy but no air was moving out of it. I told the front desk this on the way out to dinner and he said he’d have it checked. When I came back late the room was still about 79. The night air was about 58 so I did the window and door thing again til I could fall asleep and close the door. But at 4am the room was unbearably hot again. So I am sitting in my room at 4am with the door open again. By this time it was cold enough outside to get the room to a comfortable 72 so I could sleep. On checkout I complained again and got a blank face. They know this doesn’t work and don’t care. Hotels should make them remove AC from their amenities.
