Washington and related destinations

Between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol, the National Mall unfolds like America's front yard, where museums offer everything from moon rocks to Monets for free. The White House tour requires advance planning, but anyone can snap photos from Lafayette Square. Cherry blossoms frame the Tidal Basin each spring, creating a pink canopy that locals celebrate like visiting celebrities. Beyond monuments, areas like Adams Morgan serve Ethiopian feasts and late-night jumbo slices, while U Street's historic jazz clubs still swing nightly. For a perfect evening, catch a sunset from the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, then wander to a Georgetown patio where political gossip flows as freely as the cocktails.

10/10 Excellent
"I stayed in DC this weekend, choosing this hotel for its location and amenities. Pros: The hotel is within walking distance of great shops, and the breakfast was phenomenal. I also appreciated the interactive in-room experience, the pleasant scent throughout the hotel, and the beautiful and spacious lobby. The room, while smaller than I’m used to, was very clean and comfortable. Cons: I had a few interactions with staff that felt abrupt and unwelcoming. For example, when I went to get tea, I was asked if I had checked in for breakfast and was told, “There’s a sign,” in a way that felt dismissive. I also wasn’t able to reach the front desk when I called from my room, and I wasn’t sure whether irons were available on-site. I would, however, like to highlight two staff members, Lovie and Bishop, who were exceptionally kind and attentive—not only to me but also to other guests. They went out of their way to ensure I felt taken care of, and their professionalism truly stood out. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for their diligence and to the team members who made the guest experience feel warm and welcoming."
