Brookline is great, feels safe, and there are some good shops, movie theater and dining options a few blocks from where we stayed. The parking situation is a nightmare though. Don't rent a car without expecting to pay $40/night or walking a mile.

The Brookline area is a bustling city area with many restaurants in walking distance, but, was not great for myself and my elderly, wheelchair bound mother to find a place where we could easily park and go in to eat.

There are many options for restaurants. Everything is walkable or you can take the T to other parts of the city. I didn't have a car, so I don't know about parking.

We love Brookline -- great proximity to Boston and appealing on its own merits. Being 2 blocks from Trader Joe's & Coolidge Corner is a real plus.

It's a nice area, if you need to be in that area. Overall, it's a little far from what's happening in Boston. The hotel is right by multiple T stops, which made that VERY convenient.
"This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here. I have stayed in both a double bed room and king bed and both inside quiet and street view room. Both were excellent. Beds are comfortable. Hotel is clean. Great location. Staff left a teddy bear for our son when they found out his birthday was the day before. Great service. "
"We stayed for 2 nights. We walked to Fenway the first night. For the second day, we took a trip through the public garden and Boston Common. The hotel has good public transit access and is a reasonable distance to downtown. Even mid-range properties in Boston can go for a high price. This hotel is an old property that has been renovated. The room is spacious, but spartan. The bathroom was clean and functional. The hotel was well maintained. But it was very reasonable in terms of amenities and cost for this area. We would stay there again work or leisure."
"Overall the stay was wonderful. Room was fabulous with a great view and atmosphere. Only problem was valet parking. Car was waiting for me as expected but the guy for valet was missing in action even though I was the only person waiting. "
