Amazing All Inclusive Resort
Upon arrival, the service was great, the staff were all friendly, helpful, and informative. When arriving they make sure to get you and your luggage checked in quickly, so you’re able to enjoy your stay as possible. Drinks, food, shows and service were wonderful. They also have a shuttle ($4/per person) to take you down to Playa Del Carmen, an endless streets of vendors, restaurants and shops. Beach access and a ton of activities + excursions (at an extra costs). Great choice for an all inclusive!

This is not a bad place to stay.
Pros Lots of pools, chairs, and beach. Could be the time of year but not crowded. Lots of bars and bar tenders. You generally must go to a bar for service but they were there to serve. Lots of places to eat with a variety of resturants and buffets with long hours. Food was available from 6am to 11pm. Swim up rooms are great. Lots of places to sit and talk. Cons Super smart animals. Great for photos but they will get in you bags at the pool and beach and get in your room if you dont latch the door or while housekeeping is in your room. Housekeeping can just walk in. Big place so they are cleaning on a rotating schedule and into the evening. Get a door block. Food was hit or miss. I loved some of the preparations but the misses were big. Piles of warm sushi, grilled vegetables in oil water, sausages that were cooked into firewood. TIPS Lots of photo opportunities so be prepared. If ypu like taking pics or if you are an artist of any type. Be prepared to walk. Big resort but worth it. The room hallways connect so you can stay dry in the rain or stay out of the sun. Learn the map so you dont miss out on all the things offered. For families there are lots of kid things, for couple lots of privacy. The is not a lot of entertainment in the evening so plan accordingly. I was solo so I noticed more than others. There are entertainment events most nights. I will back to this resort. I had photos but the software was glitching and i couldnt add them.

The building and facilities were well maintained. The food options could have been a bit of variety. The staff who were organizing the activities were great. The staff at reception can be more friendly, often they don’t respond well. The staff at the restaurants were very good too. I would recommend this resort.

6/10 Good

The property is nice overall but very spread out and huge and expect to do lots of walking or waiting for the transport in very humid weather. We were on the third floor and there is only one elevator 3 or 4 buildings away. The buffet at the bottom of the resort was not as good as the 2 at the front of the resort. Food was not refilled when empty and the food temperature was opposite of what it should have been. Hot food cold and cold food hot. Everything was around the same temp. Including the air. Be forewarned that they do not allow flushing of toilet paper. Instead it’s placed in an open trash can by the toilet. Food sold on the property in stores is extremely expensive. Expect to pay 10usd for a bag of chips etc. Also this is a timeshare resort while it’s not mandatory be prepared to be asked multiple times to sit in a presentation at some point. Expect to be on a bus for a few hours if you take any excursions anywhere due to picking up people from other resorts. If they tell you your excursions end at 12 add 2 hours to accommodate for the other passengers. Schedule your dinings late to adjust for this as we missed our reservations due to misinformation. Lastly if you eat outside be ready to be attacked by these local animals that they call Coatis. They are not super aggressive but will be irritating enough for you to not be able to eat your food. There are definitely better resorts in the area choose wisely.

The resort was generally very clean. Even though there was a lot of travelers the resort never felt too crowded and there was always space whether in the restaurants or the pools or at the beach. Helpful staff and exceptional service.

I enjoyed my stay at this resort very much! Felt very safe and the staff was very mindful and helped as much as possible with my handicapped dad. I would like to say that although the staff helped as much as possible with my dad being handicapped it is possible to get around the resort due to the shuttle. I wouldn't recommend this resort to someone who can't walk up to 20 minutes. Getting from the lobby to the beach is about a 15 - 20 minute walk. We also had problems with some staff members. One staff member misled my family a couple times based on telling us wrong information and saying she reserved us a spot for dinner but didn't. We also were misled by a staff member that we could buy our pictures online when we couldn't then it was too late. If you don't mind walking, this resort is great for you. The night life wasn't huge but there's a lot of entertainment. The pool turned my white swimsuit yellow which was a little concerning. A lot of food options and overall it's a great resort. Did some excursions that were sold at the resort and I would recommend them (Miguel was very considerate with my handicapped dad).

8/10 Very good

I recently stayed at the Gran Rivera Princes Resort with a group of 13 family members and had a mostly positive experience. First off, the free WiFi access is excellent and works well throughout the resort, which is a rare find and a definite plus for those who need to stay connected. The shuttle service provided by the resort was very convenient, making it easy to get around the property. The cleanliness of the rooms, common areas, and the pool was impeccable, and the overall property upkeep was perfect, contributing to a very pleasant stay. One unique aspect of the resort is the presence of animals throughout the property. While this adds a nice touch of nature to the environment, there are quite a few of them, and they can be a bit too bold when it comes to food. They will take any and all food you have, whether it’s in your hand or your bag, so be cautious and keep your snacks well-hidden. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful, making the overall experience more enjoyable. The beach was clean, although there are quite a few rocks initially when entering the water, but it smooths out further in. The environment is eco-conscious, which is great for those who appreciate sustainable practices. The drinks served were good, and the resort is both family- and kid-friendly. However, the shops on the property are quite expensive, so be prepared for that. The air conditioning in the rooms was very effective, keeping the rooms comfortably cool. One downside

It was a okay stay, nothing special, we were supposed to be picked up to be brought to the lobby and nobody showed up. Housekeepers did not changed towels or sheets unless we asked for it. One day they simply did not clean out room. The drinks were watered down. No waiter at the beach to take orders.

Staff was the best part of the trip. Super friendly and helpful. There's really no point in getting a premium drink wristband. Facility is starting to decline, definitely needs a renovation soon. Still very clean though, not dangerous in any way. Bar service is a little slow. Its a massive facility. Which is nice for a variety, but it also means there's a ton of walking to get to where you want to be. The food was ok but unexciting. Dining hours are a pain to work around and reservations for restaurants are near impossible. The beach has the worst ocean floor I've eber felt. Sharp rocks all the way out 300ft to the bouies.
