My husband and I really enjoyed the property. I didn't like that you couldn't check in early. I even offered to pay. Staff in restaurant was great. Bar staff was excellent. Front door person was always there to greet us and help in any way.

Quiet and Comfortable

Beautiful hotel. Please know, although the restaurant is excellent, you are a 20 min. walk or $5-10 one-way taxi to most other restaurants. But we loved the food every place we went. We like to walk, so for lunch, that was it. There are 2 bar/restaurants 5-7 min. walk from hotel. North Beach is far away and also VERY crowded. However, that is where the action is. Quiet on this side of the island. Also, the beach is not big at all and surrounded by beach clubs do not a good beach stroll. Both pools were COLD. You can rent golf carts to get around. NOTE: no refrigerators on the room. Ask about getting one. Overall, we enjoyed it here. PS: If you want to take a catamaran sail/snorkeling, you must take the ferry back to Cancun to meet up with the cat, then sail right back here for the day. Kinda dumb. Shout out to Abdulio at happy hour at the Sky Bar and Monica in the restaurant.

The only blemish in our stay were the 2 guys making the omelettes whose customer service skills were none existent. Except for those 2 bozos, the stay, the room, the rest of the staff, the drinks, the food, and everything else was excellent. Great job Izla and thank you for an awesome stay. Great hotel on a great setting

The Izla is the best hotel we have stayed at in both Mexico and the Caribbean. Our room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Every member of the staff we interacted with was helpful and knowledgable. Isla Mujeres is a beautiful island.

The bath had black mold on the grout- I saw that someone had pointed this out in reviews prior to my stay. Not sure why housekeeping is not told to spray tile with bleach. Property needs maintenance- general dinginess of lobby, roof bar, hallways. Some of the staff was very nice- others seemed indifferent. Also check details of all-inclusive, there are many exclusions. They had three red wines by the glass- all were the same price, yet two were included, one was not. The redeeming factor was the view from the room- spectacular.

Izla hotel is a gem. The staff, food and views are unmatched. If you’re looking for a tranquil spot to relax and be pampered it’s the place to be. The staff are attentive and wonderful. The pictures for this hotel looked great, please don’t be fooled. The room was incredibly dirty, there was a bad smell in the bathroom, even the sheets and pillows were dirty and stained. The water coming out of the sink was rust orange. There was room service dishes left out for days. The only redeeming quality was the view from the balcony and the jacuzzi tub on the balcony, which was also extremely dirty with hair and dirt upon arrival and we had to clean ourselves. The pool and beach area looked nice and at night time offered a nice place to sit. It’s sad it was so dirty as this is a great location with an awesome view, but not worth the money in my opinion.
