Mucho disappointment.
After four years of working very hard, it is safe to say we were very excited to finally treat ourselves to a vacation. Although there were some questionable reviews, the advertisement and overall amenities made grand Sirenis appear to have everything we were hoping for and more. Immediately, upon arrival we discover the hotel oversold many rooms and there were over 100 people in the lobby who had been waiting for over four hours to either talk to a manager or at least be given somewhere to stay with their families. This all happening at 11 o’clock at night. By then there was no food open or available other than french fries or hotdogs that have been out for hours. When we were finally given a room, there was an entire utility cart in between the beds, dirt, bugs, and plaster throughout the entire floor and an entire ceiling panel was down in the bathroom, exposing open wires and hardware in the ceiling. We also discovered the air conditioner was not working. The hotel staff told us we should be lucky to at least have a room. You proceeded to stay in the dirty and unfinished room with the patio door open for some sort of ventilation from the construction smell. This is how the first two nights of our stay went getting very little sleep, very little communication and being attacked by mosquitoes all night due to having to keep the door open for air. Every time we went to the front desk, they told us it would be fixed. This was only the first two days.

Great stay with extended family and young kids
A lovely week with family. We were accommodated by having 3 rooms in the same building (not promised) and enjoyed most of the amenities. The daily room cleaning was excellent. The wait staff in the buffets were fabulous - especially Ramone in evenings at The Park. The variety of food at the buffet made catering for a range of dietary needs simple. The fresh veg and fruit was excellent — helpful in offsetting the rest of the yummy but rich food. The coffee was ok - best was in the Tostados. The drinks were made with passion (thank you Iver). Loved the beach - clean and beautiful water. The lazy river was a daily occurrence (at least) and the massages at the spa were top notch. Kiddos (1 and 3) loved the kiddie pool. Yummy food, fun entertainment and a large complex that was not overwhelming.

I was very unsatisfied with the service. I ask for two days for zero sugar cokes and my fridge was never refilled the days I was there.

We stayed at Grand Sirenis for a family wedding. The resort is set amongst the jungle and is a sprawling property that is extremely spread out. It has a beautiful beachfront where you cam swim, snorkel and kayak. There are lots of amenities including multiple swimming pools, a lazy river, a dive.shop, a spa, a disco, yoga, and a dolphin discovery area. There are numerous bars and restaurants around the property to pick from as well. There is abundant wildlife that can be seen all over the resort grounds too. The resort grounds are kept very clean and the staff are all very friendly. The only issue that we had was with the location and logistics around the resort- it is so large that our room was across the resort from everything. It was a long walk to all meals, long walk to the beach and anywhere else we needed to go.

Renovations were annoying
Under renovation- pool nearest us was closed as well as access bridge so getting anywhere took a while. Our room was very dated with a leaky shower door so bathroom floor was constantly wet. Beach and snorkeling were wonderful, food was good, but we couldn't get a la carte reservations to restaurants and some were closed for renovations too. Staff were amazing. My daughter loved the lazy river and all the wildlife. We wish we were VIP because they seemed to have shuttles all the time and no problem getting dinner reservations. Location was great and sea turtle snorkeling was a highlight.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Grand Sirenis was less than ideal. While the initial greeting was friendly, the subsequent service left much to be desired. With young children and plenty of luggage, we expected more assistance than what was provided. The golf carts, which were supposed to transport guests to their rooms, were consistently unavailable. Despite seeing empty vehicles, we were told they were full, forcing us to walk long distances. This was particularly challenging for me as I developed a painful vein in my leg due to the excessive walking. I noticed a curious pattern: the golf carts seemed to prioritize 'certain' guests, while other patrons were often left to walk. This was especially odd considering we were in Mexico. Our room keys malfunctioned twice, requiring us to make multiple trips to the lobby for replacements. Despite explaining my medical condition, the staff was unable or unwilling to provide transportation. To make matters worse, our room was unbearably hot. With no functioning air conditioning, I was forced to sleep on the couch, where the only fan was located. When I requested a portable fan, I was told none were available. Unfortunately, our stay at Grand Sirenis was a major disappointment.

This place is under construction they are making major improvements to the property. They are doing the construction with the least disruption to your vacation so it is not an issue the place is amazing and will be even better when done. I would say the most amazing part of my vacation was meeting the employees at the property. I first had the pleasure to meet Diana and Ivan at guest services who cared for our every need they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect! All the staff is there to make sure your vacation is the best. Angel at the beach restaurant always greeted us with a smile and great service we took full advantage of the golf carts as this property is big. The new restaurants are so good! top notch food should you chose the buffet or a la-cart restaurants. The buffet had some nice food choices that I would not have expected and it was nice to find those choices. The worse day of our vacation was the last day knowing we had to leave this amazing place and go back home.

Had an amazing time here for the 1.5 weeks I spent with my friends. Some areas were being renovated, but the part we had access to was great! The beach is beautiful and you can see the fish swimming even near the shoreline. All the staff were wonderful. Shoutout to Anna at the quiet pool and the beach. She was working every day we were there and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and staying hydrated. Overall a memorable and great vacation. Would definitely go back !

Not sure where to start , food was not the best , a lot of rude staff , the cart drivers were the worst and extremely rude , if you’re not a premium member know that you’re going to be treated horribly . No matter if they’re carts are empty, they won’t pick you up and if you ask they’ll say no . Staff at the beach offering drinks would ignore us . My daughter asked for a drink and all she got was a dirty look and being ignored . My son was told by a waiter at the buffet to “speak better Spanish” You would think that if they wanted me to buy their time share they would treat you better , it nope . Will never stay here ever again !!

Property was under construction and it felt like the management and concierge staff felt very disorganized and underprepared for things. Such as when we checked in, front desk did not tell us hours of restaraunte nor that we had to make reservations ahead of time. Then concierge messed up multiple times when booking restaurants and sending our bags down for pick up

This was our third and last stay here. We spent 14 nights at GS and could tell from day 1 that the resort is going downhill fast. From watching them rinse toilet plungers in the fountains that people dip their feet in to the open live electrical lines next to the pool to the staff at the beach cafe throwing ice at the wildlife and almost hitting us, these are only a few things. Our toilet would not flush and, despite telling several staff, it never even got looked at. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. We woke up sore every morning. The maids would fold our dirty towels from the floor and put them back up for us to use as if they were replaced. They are adding restaurants, which is great, but more restaurants were closed than open, limiting availability and choices. The buffet was ok but seemed repetitive every night. The ladies rarely come by to serve drinks in the pool. We noticed the same trash on the ground several days in a row around the property. We loved Karla in the coffee shop. She was always smiling and took great care in the drinks. Also, Ramon at the dinner buffet works very hard and is great.
