We enjoyed a large family vacation at The Royal Sands All-Inclusive in Cancun, Mexico. We had adults, teens, children, and an infant. Our hotel room was spacious, clean, and well stocked with dishes, sodas, water, and toiletries. No matter which room you choose, you’re a short walk across the property and immediately on the beautiful beach. There are several restaurants and entertainment on site. food was 7/10-for being on the coast in Mexico I expected a little more fresh seafood and tasty options. The poolside bar did close a little early for our liking but the restaurants were available if needed. The staff are AMAZING! Most extra activities are quite pricy but the hotel will help you book and transport to your choice. Don’t forget, there is also a daily resort fee that will be tacked on at time of check-in. Buses run 24/7 in the hotel zone and are cheap fare, safe, and reliable so if you don’t want to use the property taxi that is more expensive- that was a great option as there is a bus stop immediately outside of the resort. Bring cash as most everywhere you go, tips are appreciated.

I have stayed at this property many times. Was disappointed in all the surcharges they have now. The buffet was smaller too. I don’t think Expedia should advertise this place as all inclusive. Also dinning options are less to choice from.

I love the property offering 2-3 pools with only a 3 minute walk from the property was amazing! They provide dinner shows on site and have 3 restaurants in the resort. They have other restaurants in their other resorts they offer transportation to those no charge if you have the all inclusive package. It was a great experience looking forward to go back and do some excursions. Get the all inclusive it’s worth it.

I loved the pool scenery. The pool staff was rude and didn’t seem to want to serve. The food was good but it could have been better. I had to keep in mind that it wasn’t American food. They need more options. Room service took anywhere from 1-2 hours each time. It was a great place to stay. The staff was ok, they could be better as well. Overall, I had an amazing time. I would stay again. The entire resort shuts down by 11pm.
