Dundee might not see as many shoppers as Glasgow or Edinburgh, but you’d be wise not to overlook this delightful Scottish city for your retail therapy. This maritime city on the Firth of Tay was where RSS Discovery, the ship that would carry Captain Scott to the Antarctic, was built. It’s also home to the first V&A museum outside London. And scattered throughout the city centre and beyond is an eclectic mix of shops.
Independent retailers and big-name chain stores both have their place in Dundee. Here’s a guide to where to shop in Dundee and what to buy, whether you come in search of clothes, gifts, homewares or something for a hobby.
