Overall the hotel and trip were great. The food was delicious and it was nice to have a little beach that you could actually swim in out front. Just a few things to note, they don’t answer the phone when you call the front desk, it just rings and rings and rings. Also, don’t fall for the free shopping tour. They tell you they take you to town to go shopping for two hours, but its closer to a 5 hour trip and they force you to stop at Matisses jewelry for 45 minutes ( which by the way is fake jewelry and just cut and died glass) and then a “tequila factory” for 45 minutes before they’ll pick you up and then they take you to town. Even if no one on the bus wants to go, they still force you. Might just be worth the taxi ride. When we talked to the hotel about the misguided information, they just say that doesn’t sound like our hotel…

A hotel for families with small children

The food was good, the service was good. A huge number of of screaming kind made it hard to stay by the pool, in the lobby bar or the restaurants. I did not join the 06.30 army of guests occupying sunbeds for the rest of the day, so never got a sunbed. Why not have enough !!?? A sunbed on our big terrace would have been nice. Why did we have to que for the buffet restaurant to sign in and get a table - we are quite capable to find a table. For breakfast and lunch we had only a the buffet restaurant to get a good meal - why not open more options ! Sensira is probably good for familes with small children, not anyone else.

Average stay, not worth paying the upgrade

It was a fine stay you just need to know they’re a bit short staffed so it takes time to get room service, help with your bags, refills on your mini bar, etc. Also, I paid for Amber Club level which is supposed to come with a “butler” service and was told they would be reaching out to me but I never was contacted by my butler so never received that service.

Despite the website's promotion of exclusive adults-only amenities, these policies were not enforced. Not once not anywhere. Expecting tranquility and serinity as their webstie said but instead encountered constant noise from children in every supposed adults-only area, including the pool, beach, and restaurant. Not just one child but up to 15 kids in the adult pools and hottub and every single day. The adult only beach area, same thing, every single day there were families using the adult only cabanas and beach area. Hot water issues plagued our stay, making the jetted tub unusable. Room changes didn’t improve things, as we were relocated to a less desirable room with a noisy family next door. Services like in-room snacks and drinks were inconsistent, and staff lacked clear communication regarding activities like yoga. While the food was excellent, the adults-only restaurant regularly allowed children too, undermining its purpose. Attempts to address these issues with management led to partial compensation, but it doesn’t make up for our wasted vacation days and it was not ENOUGH compensation. I have emailed both the resort and the head quarters about 3 times with ZERO response. Overall, the resort is a wonder place for a family destination but I would caution any one looking for an Adult only holiday to stay away.

The staff and food at this resort were fantastic. The rooms were spacious and so clean. Very impressed with the AC in our rooms and around the resort. There was plenty to do and never felt crowded in the pools. There was also plenty to do indoors if the weather was less than ideal. My son (3) and daughter (1) had a great time. The only thing our family struggled with was the times the food was available. The breakfast buffet closed at 11 and from 11am-12:30 there was no food options available so it was difficult to feed kids who get hungry quickly after breakfast. Dinner also only started at 6:00 which was a little late for a family with younger kids. For a family resort, the show times were also quite a bit later (9:00 pm). By the time the shows were done, and we were out it was 10:00 pm which was very late for young kids. I did want them to have that experience so we tried with my kids and the show was very well done and engaging but unfortunately could only try one due to the time. All in all, had a great time on our vacation at Sensira. The kids had a blast and we also had a relaxing time!

Fantastic vacation resort for a family of 4. Our top 3 positives: 1. The Staff - there wasn't a single team member that didn't make us feel like we were royalty at all times. Asking about dietary restrictions, acknowledging our children, smiling, laughing, playing games, etc. The people of Sensira made this a pleasurable experience. Specific shoutouts to Diego-Raul-Alejandro-Carlos-Jesus Brian-Oliver-Beatriz you each left a positive impression on our whole family. 2. Day Amenities - preteen/teen paradise with rooftop minigolf, trampoline park, zipline, movie theatre, cornhole, bingo, video game loft, billiards, foosball, basketball, volleyball, rock climbing wall. Regardless of the condition of the amenity, look past that. Enjoy it for what it is... FUN. Make memories and take advantage of the FREE FUN. 3. Food - Steakhouse was my favorite, I like country music, meat and rum... they had me at hello. Then mechanical bull in the centre was a cool add. We normally eat around 6pm at home so we aimed to be there just before 6pm each night, NEVER an issue getting a table. The only time we saw lineups were for those coming in at 6:45-7:30pm. Poolside service takes a few minutes to arrive so order early. Those fish tacos at 1:00pm in the afternoon poolside... SO GOOD. Our 3 suggestions for management (because they're not negatives): 1. More poolside seating 2. Talk to mother Earth about dumping so much seaweed on your beach 3. Poolside hair braiding (our daughter really wanted this)

For those like me who get scared by the bad reviews, don’t listen to them lol. This was an amazing vacation for our family- the resort is very family oriented and lots of kids activities. Our best tips: order lunch from the poolside grill right at 11:30 (otherwise the wait is about an hour. Not a complaint, just learned from hangry kids), get chairs closest to the beach side at the main pool as it sees sun all day, the tea house cafe opens at 6AM which was a god send for parents with very early risers. My only complaint was the depth of the kid pool/water park. It’s about 2.5 ft in the deepest part which was too deep for my 1 year old to just roam and splash around. But that’s about it!! Shout out to Migue for his zip lining expertise!
