Dissapointed Overall Stay
Arrived December 27th on my birthday. Check in was good but as soon as we walked onto the 10th floor for our room, the mold smell in hallway was terrible. As soon as we walked in our room, it was worse. We had to ask for a anti humidifier which realky dint help. Housekeeping nor maintenance never bothered to change the water out daily. Needless to say we came back from dibner on the aecind night to find it had keaked so bad it filked the bathroom and entry area. On the 3rd night we walked into our room to find the light above bathroom sink was leaking, so more water everywhere. We were mever offered to change rooms. Furthermore, the restaurants wete not good at all. The food was leas then mediocre throught property. We exoected better than thos as our 6 night stay was more than $700 nightly. I wil day that Luis at the buffet served is daily for breakfast and was a very pleasent. Other than that we will not be recommending this hotel nor staying there again. Its a shame that we had such a bad experience as we travel to cancun at least 3 times a year. We definitely exoected more than this from the Royalton Chic. I hope they will do better for future guests.

I reserved a king bed and got there early to make sure I had the request fulfilled Meanwhile I noticed and confirmed with staff that hotel was only at 30% occupancy so I was sure our request was a certainty but as we checked in we were denied that option. Very disappointed

This resort did not have a working air conditioning during our stay. We were hot and very uncomfortable. The pools were also dirty and the room had mold on the ceiling. If you complain, they pretend they will give you a refund and make you sign an agreement saying that if you give them a bad review online, they wont give you a refund. While doing your research, please keep in mind that most of these reviews are fake.

I would NEVER recommend the Royalton Chic resort. Room had black mold, smelled, sheets and pellows always damp. I came home with a rash... could be bed bug bites. Butler was "fair" at best. Staff did answer questions, but only a short answer. Not helpful. Resort entertainment was great. Pools were great.

The property is located on a nice stretch of the beach. The workmanship of the property is poor quality. The doors in the the hotel rooms slam so hard that it wakes you. The foyer was often uncontrolled with a specific genre of guest yelling and acting belligerent with no recourse.
