Had pros and cons!
I've stayed in Puerto Morelos several times but this was my first time at this property. Pros were friendly service and beach location. Cons were nowhere to refill a water bottle or get coffee in the morning. (This is just comparing it to where I stayed before). They also said on hotels.com that there were hairdryers in the room but there were not and I could not get one even when I asked. Rooms were comfortable enough and we did have hot water (which was an issue at the other hotel I stayed at).

Convenient Hotel in Puerto Morelos
The Hotel offers a clean large room, minimalist design With closet, desk and minifridge and 2 beds. . The location is very centrally located, on the beach. Many restaurants are located within a 10 minute walk. The price is quite resonable for the location. My only quibble would be the rather tepid hot water in the shower. But this is hardly unique. All in all if you are looking for few frills with beach access and a 10 minute walk to the town center, this is a good choice.

Place is outdated and needs major renovation. Bathroom was stinky when we arrived and all windows didn’t close properly. No bath mat and water in room. Definitely not worth $75 a night.

Terrible. Not worth $20
This place was terrible. Way too much money for a room that was a total dump. I would have been better off sleeping on the beach under a palapa. Every part of the hotel was run down. No doors had trim. Paint worn off. It kinda felt disgusting. (And I travel cheap hotels a lot)

The location on the beach and close to numerous shops and restaurants was the only good thing about this hotel in my opinion. We booked our stay on the recommendation of friends who stayed at this hotel but I am sure it was many years ago, because the hotel is very run down now. We ended up staying in one room for two days and another for three days as we had to be moved due to the fact that the wall mounted air conditioner poured water into our back pack and jacket. Both rooms were very small, needed painting, curtains ripped, outlets too loose for our chargers to stay plugged in, flickering lights and no hot water. Both the restaurant and beachfront area were also very old and showed signs of age and being worn down. The driveway in front of the hotel was full of pot holes, large mud puddles and covered with garbage. Sad. The staff was friendly and accommodating and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible, but I will not recommend this hotel.

My experience with check-in and check-out was pleasant, but the hotel urgently needs renovation. Mr. Arturo gave me a room that looked like a rundown motel, completely destroyed. Walking through the hallway, I felt very unsafe; all the room doors were in bad shape, the curtains in my room were old and worn out, and the walls had dampness, cracks, and mold. I went down to request a room change, and Mr. David gave me another room in better condition than the first one but the bathroom didn’t have a proper shower door, and the towel rack was covered in green mold. My daughter and I stayed there for just a couple of hours before deciding to move to another hotel I won’t be returning to this hotel due to its terrible state.

First of all, walking down the hallway to our room we started smelling a funky unpleasant smell. Opened the door to our room and it was worse. Instantly felt dirty, upon looking around the curtains had holes and torn out of the tracks. Curtains and the walls had mold and some “patchwork” on the cracks on the walls. We asked for a different room. Second room felt cleaner. TV was like a 27 inch with wires hanging everywhere, just tacky. Never stayed in a hotel without what I call basic amenities. Such as hair dryer, wash clothes, hot water, bar soap, drinking water. Almost every door on cabinets were broke or loose. Pool on property was always shaded and no sun, never got in it for that reason. Attached bar/restaurant had some of the best tacos we had all week. Nachos were good as well. However, since it wasn’t part of hotel you had to pay even for a cup of ice. Best part of the stay was the location. Nice beach area with pretty views. Lounge chairs were adequate. However on our last day we had to pay to use them. We thought that was included. The beach would have been better if they groomed the beaches, primarily for the trash/ debris that washes up. The best thing about the trip was the quaint little town atmosphere. All the little businesses, different choices, different food options and you feel safe. We definitely liked that part. We would go back but just stay at a nicer hotel.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding an incident that occurred on the last day of my stay at the beach club. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the waitresses, who refused to provide me with a lounge chair. Initially, she informed me that I needed to be a guest, to which I showed her my bracelet. Then, she stated that I needed to spend $1,200. While I had no issue meeting this requirement, as my daily expenses exceeded 2,000 pesos, I felt that her manner toward me and my family was unprofessional. We love Puerto Morelos for its warm hospitality, and this was the first time we encountered such treatment during our visits. I wanted to bring this to your attention, as it did not reflect the welcoming environment we have always experienced in the area. Thank you for your time, and I hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.
