Nice stay and great location!
Great location. Friendly staff. Food service and pool areas were small but quaint. Nice clean property. Our room was big and spacious, lots of storage but slightly on the dated side. Beds were comfortable and clean. Beach area was wonderful. Lounge chairs smashed together but was needed for the amount of guests staying there. Overall nice stay.

A relaxing getaway and great location!
This hotel is right on Playa Norte which was a beautiful beach with calm waters. Easy walk to the ferry terminal as well as a lot of wonderful restaurants. We came in late January and the vibe was very quiet. The one bedroom suite was spacious with a kitchenette and balcony. And the staff at this hotel was incredibly helpful and responsive to any need!

Most relaxing stay!
1. Great location, love the access to the beautiful beach, we saw one of the most glorious sunsets we have ever seen. Access to the restaurants and downtown, love the vibe, food and atmosphere. 2. Great swimming pool, especially the shallow one for little kid, our kid played there for hours. Between playing on beach and in pool he spent days and wouldn’t want to leave. 3. Big spacious rooms, comfy beds, nothing fancy yet so relaxing. 4. Last but not the least the staff. Everyone was so nice and stress free, starting with the manager Mauricio who greeted us with a huge smile and vibes of relaxation. After that everyone we interacted with, be it Guillermo or Pepe at front desk who always had a smile on their face, juileta and Gonzalez at the restaurant who customized dishes to our choices, Martha, Adrianna and Sandra who helped ensure smooth checkout and many others whose names I may not remember (I apologize) but every time you run into staff, you will never get a vibe of stress or frustration but rather a warm welcoming smile. And a lot of it is attributed to Mauricio who leads with great example! 5. Lastly we casually asked if we could do a late checkout, they unfortunately had another reservation for our room, but they took their hospitality to another level by providing us another room and letting us use it until however long we desired. We needed it only for couple extra hours but their willingness to let us have it until much later in day just speaks to their hospitalit

This hotel was beautiful and the beach was pristine. Unfortunately there was a palapa on the beach in front of the hotel that had blaring music all night until 5am. I’ve never had such an intense night at a hotel. It wasn’t just inconvenient it was ridiculously loud and unbearable. Unfortunately it was outside of the hotel’s control, so there was nothing they could do. This hotel would have been wonderful otherwise.

This property is great. The only issue is that a nearby party palapa was open all night with very loud music ( until 5am). So we were not able to sleep. Hotel gave us ear plugs but the music was so loud it didn’t help much. Music was probably because of Xmas week, next time will be even better. Management was very nice to accommodate us best they could.

We just left from our 4 night stay at Ixchel. This hotel exceeded our expectations in regard to location and facilities. The hotel is right on the beach with an abundance of beach chairs for guests. The beach is stunning and the lovely staff were available to serve drinks and food while at your beach chair. The two pools were smaller than we imagined, but still great from refreshing dip. The hotel rooms were clean, large and very beautifully decorated. The hotel is locate don the main dining street so a quick walk to many amazing restaurants. Another bonus was the use of a washing machine and dryer during our stay. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times for lunch and food was very good...as well as the 2-4-1- cocktails all day long!

It was me and my partners first time coming to Isla Mujeres, and we had a great time staying at Ixchel. I really wanted to be at a hotel right on the beach and that's what we got. We spent 3 days lounging in the beach chairs and wading in the ocean. The hotel's restaurant comes to wait on you so we were able to have drinks and lunch without leaving. Prices at the restaurant are like typical US prices. The room we had was nice and clean. We appreciated the large shower with the drying line in it. Through our window we could see the beach and hear the waves. The AC was nice and cold, which felt great coming in from all the heat and humidity. The staff were very kind and helpful. They helped up book a taxi when we wanted to go down to Punta Sur for sunrise. Location can't be beat. The hotel is right at the end of Hidalgo, the main street with shops and restaurants. Very easy to find walking from the ferry and easy to go try out other restaurants in the area.

The location is off the chart! The most beautiful beach in the world (Playa Norte) is only steps away. Stunning views. Fabulous staff who cater to your every need. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff make you feel welcome. The kindness of the staff give you that extra reassurance that you are in a safe, reliable location.
